Our ministries include:
Lay Visitations: A group of faithful volunteers visit anyone over 60 years of age who is in need of Christian fellowship and support. Sometimes its a phone call or an occasional visit. Sometimes it is a weekly visit, all depending on the unique needs of the individual we visit.
Care Centers: Our volunteers also visit those who are residing in a care center. Fellowship can be especially helpful to those who are in this circumstance.
Card Ministry: Volunteers send get-well cards to those in the hospital and birthday cards to members celebrating another year of life.
Sermon Recording Ministry: The sermon ministry offers the opportunity for home-bound persons to hear the weekly worship service on cd or through our website. Please contact us if you would like to have a CD delivered to you, a family member, or a friend.
Transportation Needs: We have a group of people who will take people to worship, church activities, doctor appointments, the grocery store, or even just for a ride.
Day Trips: A variety of trips are offered throughout the year including theater, museums and tea room luncheons. Announcements and details will be available on this web page as well as in the Tower, and in weekly church bulletins.
Tuesdays at J.I.M.’s Place: Every Tuesday from 1-4pm (September-May) older adults from all over the area gather to play cards, board games, chess, jigsaw puzzles, etc. Light refreshments are served. Bring a friend, and come join us!
Body Recall: This is an exercise group that meets 3 times a week with Gracie Murphy and Ginny Hart as the instructors. Body Recall is a safe, tested program of gentle movement and exercise developed for the “living longer” population. Gracie and Ginny are professionally trained. They meet at J.I.M.’s Place. The “Beginners” group meets at 9am. The “Intermediate” group meets at 10am.
