REFLECTION FOR THE WEEK
A Way of Being
Luke 9: 1-3,6
Author Matt Miofsky says “What is happiness? It is an abiding sense of peace that we can experience and dwell in no matter what our circumstances.”
Action: Happiness depends on the health of three relationships: with God, with ourselves, and with others. This week, turn to God for forgiveness; take a new step to strengthen your faith; and bring healing or reconciliation for someone else.
Prayer: Eternal God, forgive us for the times we live only for ourselves. Help us to learn to give our lives away in meaningful and important ways. Guide us in that effort, so that we may find ourselves and our happiness in service to you. We pray this in the name of the one who gave his life for us, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
