Bible Text: Luke 10: 25-29 | Preacher: Rev. Susan Brown | Series: Miscellaneous | REFLECTION FOR THE WEEK

And Who is My Neighbor?
Luke 10: 25-37

For two generations, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood taught children, and their families, how to be loving people in a world full of hurt, sadness, and division. His message was one of love and invitation.

Action: This week, practice the holy habits of “bless, eat, pray” as a welcome or invitation to a “new’ neighbor. Step out of your comfort zone and meet someone that God loves very much, just as God loves you.

Prayer: Dear God, I know that You have made me for Yourself, to love You and to love my neighbors. Yet still I cannot help but live for myself, and every day I justify myself by my own standards, not Yours. But Lord, you have found me in the ditch, and You have rescued me. Now soften my heart to Your will, and make me to love others as You have loved me; especially those who are most in need, whom I pass by every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
