From Bah Humbug to Blessed | Luke 16: 19-31

As Scrooge confronts Christmas past, his response ranges from fear and grief to appreciation and delight.  We can see the beginning of transformation as he realizes the past was not all bad for him.

Action: Think about Christmases past.  Are the memories happy or sad?  Is there a way to engage the sadness to bring reconciliation that turns to joy?  Share a favorite Christmas memory with someone else.

Prayer: God of Christmas past, you have been at work in our lives since the beginning.  Open our eyes to all of the ways you have been at work in our memories and in the Advent and Christmas traditions that have been handed down to us. Give us the courage to examine mistakes we’ve made in the past so that we will continue to grow in the people you created us to be.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
