Youth Ministry

Sunday Opportunities…

Youth Group, Sundays evenings, Sept-May

Students in grades 7-12  come together for a time of building friendships and digging deeper into their faith.  Meets in the Youth Room every Sunday from 4:30pm–6:00pm.

Confirmation, Sunday mornings

Confirmation is a United Methodist tradition and rite of passage for middle school students.  Offered every other year, this program helps students build a foundation for their faith and membership in the United Methodist Church.  Offered again in 2012-2013.

Bible Study, Sunday mornings, Sept-May

Join us as we work through the book of Luke and learn the basics about how to read and understand your Bible.  Meets in the Youth Room every Sunday at 9:30am.

Youth Group Activities…

Project 1:8

During the school year, students will have multiple opportunities to volunteer andparticipate in service projects as a part of the UMC East Ohio Conference’s “Project 1:8″ Initiative.  Students will be recording their hours in service and blogging about their experiences.

Reach Workcamp

Every year our Youth Group and several adult volunteers participate in a large mission
opportunity through Reach Workcamps.  Over five hundred students and adults will come together in Clinton, Tennessee to rebuild and repair homes.  This year’s camp is June 24-30, 2012.

For Parents…

Researchers agree that the number one influence on a child’s spirituality and commitment to faith is his or her parents.  Consider joining an adult small group or Sunday school class! Make faith a family commitment.

Our volunteers and ministry staff people are wonderful resources for parents of teenagers. We are here to listen, encourage, pray, and be a support for you and your family at any time. Click to view this month’s Parent Link Newsletter and Calendar.
